AEM-Anhaltische Elektromotorenwerk Dessau GmbH

Since 1949 rotating electrical machines have been produced in Dessau, the city with a longlasting technical history of professor Hugo Junkers and the background of "Bauhaus".

The electrical motor factory in Dessau (Saxony Anhalt) is a traditional company at the site with an experience of more than 60 years in the production of rotating electrical machines.

After the company's privatisation in 1993 AEM was able to assert its position as a producer of Three-Phase Synchronous Generators and Three-Phase Asynchronous Motors on the national and international market based on the principle of a market-oriented management.

By user-friendly, innovative, and safe products with a high standard regarding to quality and reliability, AEM is not a supplier for its customers only but also a partner in competition. Special attention will be paid to the production of special electrical machines in traditional product groups and power ranges based on existing power. This reference as well as the high motivation and qualification of AEM-employees are the basis of continual development, freedom of decision and independence of company. For many years it is in AEM a good tradition to transmit the available know-how by own education of the required younger generation in 8 education directions in the meantime.

To increase further the efficiency and the flexibility of the company extensive investments were effected in 2006/2007.

In this new hall with integrated administrative complex the production of iron lamination is located. A high productivity up to the lowest order unit "1" is guaranteed by ultramodern laser-cutting equipment. A second new hall was built up as a logistics centre with an integrated ecologically colouring system to give further contribution to the high quality request for our products.

Since 1995 AEM quality management system has fulfilled the requirements in accordance to DIN EN ISO 9001.

AEM is member of the "Zentralverband Elektrotechnik- und Elektronikindustrie (ZVEI) e.V.", the German electrical and electronic manufacturers' association, the "Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau" (VDMA) and the "Zweckverband zur Förderung des Maschinen- und Anlagenbau Sachsen-Anhalt e.V. (FASA)".
